I am graduate of TC and I've been teaching 8th Grade Humanities in NYC for 6 years.
I'm taking this class because I have been teaching for a while and I want to be engaged as a student again. I feel like I haven't thought about anything other than 8th grade "stuff" in a while. I'm very interested in photography and I spend a lot of time with my camera.
As a teacher of reading and writing, I know how important it is to address issues of critical literacy. My students are in constant contact with technology and images and I want to help them think critically.
